Data sync

1. What is on the screen

The «New sync job» button and the list of jobs. For a new company it says «No sync jobs yet.». To create one you first need an integration configured in “Integrations” (for example, BambooHR).

2. Create a job

1. Press «New sync job».

2. Enter a “Name” and choose the “Integration” the data comes from or goes to.

3. Choose the “Direction”: “Pull (import)” brings data into goPrevina, “Push (export)” sends it to the other system and “Pull + Push” does both.

4. In “Schedule (cron)” write how often it runs, in UTC (for example, 0 6 * * * for every day at 6:00). If you leave it empty, it only runs by hand. Tick “Schedule enabled” for the schedule to work.

5. Press “Save” after defining the field mappings.

3. The field mappings

Under “Field mappings” press “Add mapping” for each piece of data: which field of the other system matches which goPrevina field. Mark one of them as the key (for example, the ID number or the employee number): it is used to recognise whether a record already exists and update it instead of duplicating it. Without at least one mapping with a key the job cannot be saved.

4. Run and review a job

Each job in the list shows its direction, its schedule (or “manual only”) and the result of its “Last Run”: “succeeded”, “partial” (some records failed) or “failed”. “Run now” starts it at once, without waiting for the schedule. Open the job to see its “Run history” and which records failed before running it again.
