Audit log
The «Audit Log» keeps every creation, change and deletion of your company's data: which record, who did it and when. It is what you look at to reconstruct what happened to a record or to show it to an auditor.
1. The filters
At the top, the filters: «Search» (searches within stored values), «Entity type» (the kind of record), «Action» («Create», «Update», «Delete») and the «From» and «To» dates. Any filter change takes you back to the first page.
2. The table
Below the filters, the number of entries matching them, «Export CSV» and the table with «Date», «Action», «Entity» (type and number of the record) and «User». Entries made by automatic processes show as “System”. You move between pages with «Previous» and «Next».
3. Find out who changed a record
1. In «Entity type» choose the kind of record (for example, a risk assessment).
2. If you know the record number or a text it contained, type it in «Search».
3. Narrow the period of the change with «From» and «To».
4. The table gives you the date, action and user of each change, newest first.
4. Export for an auditor
Filter what you are asked for and press «Export CSV». The file includes date, action, record type and number, user and IP address. It exports the page you are viewing: if the result spans several pages, export each one or narrow the dates further.
