Organisational structure
Your company's structure has three levels: workplaces, departments and areas. This guide covers three screens in the menu: «Departments», Areas and Org Chart.
1. Departments
At the top you choose the «Workplace Center» (in the demo, Planta de Burgos). Below appears its department tree: in the demo, Maintenance (MANT) and Production (PROD). Each card shows the name, the code and the number of people stored on the department (16 and 74 in the demo); that number is not calculated from the workforce or from the assignments.
2. Create and organise departments
Click «New department». In the form choose the “Workplace Center”, the “Parent Department (Optional)” (leave it empty for a top-level department), the “Name”, the “Code” and the description. The “Department manager” receives the department's incident escalation alerts. Save with “Create Department”.
On each card you can “Add subdepartment”, “Edit” or “Delete”. To add many at once, «Import» opens the department importer (CSV or Excel).
3. Areas
In “Work Areas” you first choose the workplace and the department; until then the screen asks you to select a workplace and a department to see their areas. Then you see their areas (the demo has, for example, the press line and the welding shop), with a search and a filter by risk level, and “New area” to create another. Areas are chosen later, for example in user assignments.
4. Org Chart
“Org Chart” draws the departments of one or all workplaces, with the number of users assigned to each. Drag a person onto a department to reassign them: their organisational assignment changes. In the demo every department shows 0 because there are no assignments yet.
Creating, editing and reassigning need edit permission.
