Non-conformities
«Non-Conformities» records each non-compliance found (in an audit, an inspection, an incident or a complaint), its root cause and the actions to correct it, until they are verified as effective and it is closed. It is the register required by ISO 45001 clause 10.2, as the screen says.
1. The list
Columns: «Number» (NC-year-number), «Title», «Type», «Status» and «Actions». The type is Major, «Minor», «Observation» or Opportunity for improvement; the status is «Open», «In progress», Pending verification, Verified, «Closed» or Rejected. The red «Overdue» label next to the number means the due date passed without closing it: in the demo, NC-2026-0001.
The search finds by number, title or area. Under «Actions», the eye opens the record, the pencil edits it and the bin deletes it.
2. Record a non-conformity
Click «New Non-Conformity». The “Title” and the “Detected date” are required. Choose the “Type” and the “Source” (internal or external audit, inspection, incident, complaint, self-assessment), and set the “Due date” and the “Area / process affected”.
Under “Root cause & CAPA” write the “Root cause (5 whys / Ishikawa)” and the “Immediate actions”, “Corrective actions” and “Preventive actions”. Save with “Create”.
3. Move forward and close
The status is changed with the pencil (“Edit”). When the actions are done, move the non-conformity to Pending verification; once you have checked they worked, tick “Effectiveness verified (required before closing)” and close it. Without that box it cannot be closed.
To follow each action with an owner, deadline and progress, also create it in Actions with source “Non-conformity”.
4. Who sees what
Creating, editing and deleting need edit permission; without it the list is read-only. If your role does not have the Quality and improvement module, you see “This module is switched off”. Open non-conformities are counted on the Improvement Dashboard.
