Management of change

«Management of Change» records each change to processes, equipment, materials, procedures, organisation or facilities before it is made, to assess its risk and decide whether it is approved (the screen cites ISO 45001 cl. 8.1.3).

1. The list

A freshly seeded demo has none: the screen says «No change requests found». Each request appears with its number, title, type, risk and status: Draft, Submitted, Under review, Approved, Rejected, Implemented or Closed; temporary changes carry the “temp” mark. The eye opens the request and the pencil edits it.

2. Request a change

Click «New Change Request». Only the “Title” is required. Choose the “Type” (Process, Equipment, Material, Procedure, Organisational, Facility), the “Risk” (Low, Medium, High, Critical) and the “Target date”, and tick “Temporary change” if the change has a date to be reversed.

Under the assessment section write the “Justification”, the “Environmental impact assessment (required to approve)” and the “Rollback plan”. “Create” saves it as a Draft.

3. Review, approve and implement

The status is changed by editing the request: Submitted when it is ready for review, Under review while it is assessed, and Approved or Rejected on decision. It cannot be approved without the environmental impact assessment. Once the change is made, move it to Implemented, write the “Post-implementation review” and close it. The record keeps who requested it, who approved it and the decision and implementation dates.

4. Who sees what

Creating, editing and deleting need edit permission; without it the list is read-only. If your role does not have the Quality and improvement module, you see “This module is switched off”. Open requests are counted on the Improvement Dashboard.
