Action tracking

«Action Tracking» gathers in one list the corrective, preventive and improvement actions, whether they come from a non-conformity, an audit, an incident, a meeting, a risk or an inspection. Each has an owner, a deadline, progress and, where needed, an effectiveness check.

1. The list

Columns: «Number», «Title», «Priority» (Low, Medium, «High», «Critical»), «Progress» (0 to 100%), «Status» and «Actions». The status is «Open», «In progress», «Completed», «Verified» or Cancelled. The red «Overdue» label next to the number means the due date passed without completing it: in the demo, ACT-2026-0003 and ACT-Q-0002, both at 0%.

The search finds by number or title. The eye opens the action, the pencil edits it and the bin deletes it.

2. Create an action

Click «New Action». Only the “Title” is required. Choose the “Type” (Corrective, Preventive, Improvement, Other), the “Source” (Manual, Non-conformity, Audit, Incident, Meeting, Risk, Inspection), the “Priority” and the “Due date”. Tick “Verification of effectiveness required” if someone must check it worked once it is finished. Save with “Create”.

3. Progress, complete and verify

With the pencil you update the “Progress” (%) and the status while the work goes on. On the action, “Mark as completed” closes it and stores the completion date. If the action requires an effectiveness check, move it to Verified once it has been confirmed to work; the verification date is kept.

Start each week with the «Overdue» ones and those with «Critical» or «High» priority and little progress.

4. Who sees what

Creating, editing, completing and deleting need edit permission; without it the list is read-only. If your role does not have the Quality and improvement module, you see “This module is switched off”. Pending actions are counted on the Improvement Dashboard.
