Environmental compliance
Four screens in the Environment menu hold what the company must comply with and prepare: permits, legal requirements, materiality assessments and emergency plans. All four open with cards that count and filter, a search box and the list; the name in each row opens its record.
1. Permits
“Environmental Permits”: click “New permit”. The cards are “Expired”, “Expire within 90 days”, “Renewal in progress” and “In force”; “More filters” adds the type.
On the record, “Start renewal” marks the permit as being renewed and “Record renewal” saves the “New expiry date”: the permit becomes valid again. The tabs are “Conditions” and “Documents”.
2. Regulatory compliance
“Regulatory compliance” lists the company's environmental legal requirements and their last review. Click “New requirement”. The cards are “Review overdue”, “Not compliant”, “Review in 30 days” and “Compliant”; “More filters” adds the type of regulation.
On the record, “Record review” asks for the “Review date”, the result (compliant or non-compliant) and the evidence. The tabs are “Requirements” and “Violations”.
3. Materiality (CSRD)
“Materiality Assessments” carries out the double materiality assessment (CSRD/ESRS) for each financial year. Click “New assessment”. The cards are “Drafts”, “Awaiting approval”, “Approved” and “This year”.
When creating the assessment you add the ESG topics with an impact score and a financial score (0 to 5) and a threshold; each topic ends up as “Not material”, “Impact material”, “Financial material” or “Double material”. It cannot be approved without scored topics; management does it with “Approve”.
4. Emergencies
“Emergency Plans” holds the response plans for spills, fires, releases or floods (the screen cites ISO 45001 cl. 8.2). Click “New plan”. The cards are “Drill overdue”, “Drill in 30 days”, “Drafts” and “Active”; “More filters” adds the type.
On the record, “Approve” puts the plan in force and “Record drill” saves the date and result of the drill; the next one is calculated from the plan's frequency. The tabs are “Procedure”, “Resources and contacts” and “Training”.
5. Who sees what
Creating, editing, moving forward and deleting need edit permission; without it you can only view. Expired permits, overdue legal reviews and overdue drills appear under “What to do” on the Environment dashboard.
